Principal's Message

​​​​Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Primary School is a co-educational Catholic school in the Brisbane suburb of Dar​​ra. The school currently has 512​ students enrolled in 21 classes from Prep to Year 6. OLSH School has an ethos based on Gospel values and showing respect for each other. We are a multicultural community that celebrates the richness and diversity of many cultures.


Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Primary School is a place where God is named and central to all we do. Families, students and teachers make up our faith community which reflects our commitment to the Catholic faith and the development of the whole person. We are proud of our history of providing high-quality education within the Catholic tradition. Our school is committed to meeting the challenges of education today and in the future, i​n order to provide students with the skills necessary to progress further along the lifelong journey of education.


The Alice Springs (Mparntwe) Educational Declaration and the Australian Curriculum are the considerations and source of all curriculum planning, assessment and reporting at OLSH. We teach all subject areas with an emphasis on the teaching of Numeracy, Literacy and Religious Education.


We utilise the Positive Behaviour for Learning Framework and explicity teach behaviours that encourages​ students to be respectful, safe, kind and effective learners.
